Reindeer Food for the kids to put out on Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve is here and it’s time to leave out the milk and cookies for Santa?  What do you leave for the reindeer?  Do you leave carrots?  Carrots are a great healthy option but don’t allow for much fun.  At our house, we make reindeer food to put out.

On Christmas Eve every year, my kids go out and put Reindeer food on the lawn.  The kids love it.  It’s the last thing they do before bed.  They get so excited about making the reindeer food and putting it out.  We never did the carrots for the reindeer, we did this instead.

The kids have a fun time making the reindeer food and reading the poem as they pour it on the lawn. These ingredients are simple and you probably already have them in your house.  If you don’t have an item I mentioned you can replace it with something else.
